Hi, my name’s Margaret and I am a speech and language therapist from England. I worked in the NHS in the UK for 11 years before moving to Singapore in 2014 to work in private practice. I also work at Kaleidoscope Therapy Centre.
My background is working with children with complex needs from 18 months to 16 years. In the UK, I worked in special schools and a child development centre. This gave me an opportunity to focus on pre verbal skills and early language development. I particularly enjoy working with families to promote interaction and communication skills. I have been fortunate to be able to take additional training in this area, including parent-child interaction therapy, intensive interaction and most recently, DIR Floortime basic.
Mighty Oaks provides me with the opportunity to work with parents, teachers and other therapists to support the development of the children’s interaction and communication skills in a natural environment, which is rewarding and great fun!
