Mighty Oaks Classes & Services
Our preschool groups include an academic curriculum delivered through hands-on, play-based activities following the educational model Dr. Suvi Pitkola, our Director learned in her native Finland.

We follow Dr Stanley Greenspan's Learning Tree model. The Learning Tree Model integrates Floortime with academic skills.This model helps us understand each child's individual profile of strengths and weaknesses and to tailor the Individual Education Plan (IEP) to meet his / her needs. As the groups are small and staff-student-ratio is so high, we can address the individual goals of the children in a group environment.

Children are grouped according to their developmental levels, needs and abilities to maximise social interaction opportunities. While most children require a daily intervention and best results are achieved through high intensity, it is also possible to attend some of the groups just 2 - 4 times a week.
Mighty Oaks provides the following services for children aged 3 to 6:

Therapeutic preschool programs for 5-6 children, 1 teacher & 1 assistant teacher

3, 4 or 5 times per week, typically 6- 9 months

9am - 12 noon (drop-off from 8.45 am) or

1.30- 4.30pm (drop-off from 1.15pm)
​
Social skills classes for ages 4 to 6 for children in mainstream preschools:

2-3 times per week, 3 months at a time

1.30- 4.30pm (drop-off from 1.15pm)
