Hi, I'm

Master's in Education (Special Needs)

I am a special education teacher from Singapore. I started my career in 1988. I undertook my initial training at the National Institute of Education, Special Needs and completed my Masters program in Education, Special Needs, under the University of Southern Queensland in 2003. I am passionate about working with young children and I have worked in a number of early intervention programs in both local and international special schools.
I have been working with Suvi Pitkola since 2001, first as an Educational Therapist. In 2010 I helped her to set up Mighty Oaks, then called Young Learners. I completed my basic Floortime training online in 2012.

What do I love about my job? My students! I believe that every child is unique and they have their own strengths and weakness. Strengths are what I want to focus on. I treasure being a part of a team and also enjoy supporting families of the children I work with. I celebrate each and every one of my student’s achievements, no matter how big or small. My greatest joy is when I see my former students being successfully employed and leading a meaningful life.
