Our Programs

Mighty Oaks offers unique educational and therapeutic group programs for children aged 3 to 6 years with developmental challenges. The concept was developed by our Director Dr. Suvi Pitkola in 2010.

All our programs are based on the DIR- Floortime approach and the Learning Tree Model developed by Dr Stanley Greenspan. To our knowledge, we are the first and only early intervention group program in Singapore – and possibly Asia – that uses the Floortime model in every interaction and focuses on social communication and interaction.

We aim to nurture fragile acorns so that they can grow into resilient oak trees.

Mighty Oaks provides high quality, individualized academic and therapeutic services in small groups. We utilize the latest scientific research and the most effective tools available in our work. Our classroom programs are tailored to match each child's profile. We place a strong emphasis on the child’s social communication including the ability to interact with other children. Any challenges in attention, sensory and motor skills are also addressed.

Speech therapists and Occupational therapists from our sister company Kaleidoscope Therapy Centre come over weekly to provide therapy services for our children.

Each child receives an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) that includes social, emotional, self-regulatory, self-help and academic goals, as well as goals for motor development, language and communication.

The academic goals are in line with the MOE (Ministry of Education, Singapore) curriculum. This is important, because the goal for our students is to be able to access mainstream curriculum upon leaving Mighty Oaks.
