I have been in Special Education for the past 12 years. I completed my Diploma in Special Education from National Institute of Education in 2008 and started my career as an Allied Educator for Learning and Behavioural Support in the Ministry of Education in 2009 . I worked with students with mild learning difficulties in mainstream schools to cope and integrate with their peers in school. I completed my Diploma in Dyslexia Studies from Dyslexia Association of Singapore in 2012. In 2014, I became a Special Education Teacher at Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School. I worked with high needs students with autism.The little successes achieved by my students has given me so much fulfillment. I also completed my Certificate in Autism Studies from the Autism Resource Centre in 2018. I joined Mighty Oaks in June 2020.

Why DIR Floortime?

DIR Floortime has opened my eyes to a whole new world of communication. Taking the child’s lead during playtime gives you a different experience altogether. It allows you to connect with the child and this in turn builds the bond between us. I am thrilled to be a part of Mighty Oaks as every day is a new learning experience for me through my students and wonderful colleagues.
