Using the metaphor of a tree, the roots represent how children learn about the world through their senses. The roots feed the tree trunk that represents thinking skills. Branches of the tree stand for academic skills and leaves represent qualities of great kids that we want to foster. Drilling academics is not effective if the roots and trunk are weak. 

 

We work on all parts of the tree, focusing on the roots and trunk and strengthening the weak areas to form a strong foundation for academic learning.
